Paid plans, VAT, and paid plans are never cut off
An integration stopping at 3am over a busy Tuesday is worse than a larger invoice.

TL;DR
Starter, Pro and Scale are on sale, monthly or annual, through Stripe Checkout, with the Billing Portal to change plan or card. A paid plan is never stopped for credits: past its allowance, calls carry on and the extra is billed at $1.50 per 1,000 credits, on a separate invoice after the month closes. Prices are before VAT, which is added in the EU.

The plans between Free and a custom contract can be bought. Starter includes 20,000 credits a month, Pro 55,000 and Scale 175,000; the pricing page has the prices and a calculator.
Paid plans are never cut off. The allowance is what a plan includes, not what it permits: past it, calls carry on and each extra block of credits is billed at $1.50 per 1,000 credits. You are told three ways while it happens — the X-Quota-Overage header on every response, one email the first time each month, and a banner in the dashboard.
Free has no card to bill, so it is the one plan that stops: a request past its allowance gets a 429 with a JSON body giving the limit, the usage, the credits the request needed and the reset date.

VAT
Prices are before VAT. Checkout adds VAT for customers in the EU, collects an EU VAT id for reverse charge, and adds nothing outside the EU. Overage invoices are taxed the same way as the subscription they extend.
