Who provides the Service

URLpipe is provided by Aliat Partner S.L. ("we", "us"), a Spanish limited company with tax id B67412916, registered office at Calle Àlaba 61, 6º 2ª, 08005 Barcelona, Spain, and entered in the Registro Mercantil de Barcelona, tomo 46854, folio 83, hoja B 533172, inscripción 1ª.

The Service

URLpipe exposes an HTTP API, and an MCP server offering the same operations, that accept a public URL and return data about that page: its rendered HTML, a Markdown conversion, a screenshot, metadata, an AI-generated summary or keywords, a Lighthouse audit, and its JavaScript console output — separately, or several at once from one page visit. The Service is provided on an "as is" basis and may change as we improve and extend it.

Accounts

To use the API you must create an account and confirm your email address. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials secret, and to be responsible for all activity that takes place through your account, your API keys and your organization tokens. Notify us promptly if you suspect a key or token has been compromised.

Acceptable use

When you submit a URL to URLpipe, you confirm that you have the right to fetch and analyze that page, and to use what the Service returns in the way you intend. You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Get past authentication, paywalls or other access controls on sites you do not own or have permission to access.
• Submit content protected by intellectual property rights without authorization.
• Generate spam, harass others, or distribute malware.
• Probe, attack, or otherwise abuse the Service or its infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, immediately and without the notice period described under "The free plan" — that notice period covers our withdrawing a free plan, not our response to abuse.

robots.txt

By default, URLpipe follows the robots.txt of every site it fetches. Before a page is fetched we read the site's robots.txt, and a page it disallows is not fetched. This is how every project starts, and it stays that way unless you change it.

Each project has a setting that turns this off. Changing it is your decision: it is made by you, for a project you control, in that project's settings. While it is off, you instruct us to fetch the pages you submit whatever their robots.txt says, and you take on sole responsibility for doing so — for having the right to fetch those pages, and to use what we return, under the site's own terms, the law that applies to you and to the site (including copyright, database and data-protection law), and anything else the site's owner has asked of visitors. We carry out those requests on your instruction, as a technical service, and do not check whether you hold that right.

If you use the Service for business purposes, you agree to indemnify us against claims by third parties that arise from pages fetched at your request while the setting is off, or from URLs you submit in breach of these terms. If a site's owner tells us that requests made on your behalf are harming them, we may stop fetching that site for your organization and will tell you why.

Plans, credits and billing

Every plan includes a monthly allowance of credits per organization, spent per API call at the rates published on the pricing page. Cached results and failed requests spend nothing. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month (UTC), unused credits do not roll over, and credits have no cash value.

On the free plan, once the month's allowance is spent, requests are refused with an HTTP 429 response until it resets.

Paid plans are subscriptions, billed in advance — monthly or yearly — to the card you give at checkout, and renewed automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. A paid plan is never cut off for running out of credits: requests keep being served, and the credits used past the allowance are charged at the published overage rate, on a separate invoice issued after the month closes and charged to the same card.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes. Customers in the European Union are charged the VAT that applies to them; a business registered for VAT in an EU country other than Spain that gives a valid VAT number at checkout is invoiced without VAT under the reverse-charge rules.

You can change plan or cancel at any time from Billing in the application. A change of plan takes effect immediately and is prorated: moving up charges the difference for the rest of the period, and moving down credits the unused part of the previous plan against your next invoice. Cancelling stops the renewal; the plan remains active until the end of the period already paid for, and the organization then moves to the free plan. Overage accrued before then is still invoiced.

If a payment fails, the card is retried and the plan stays active in the meantime. If the payment still cannot be collected, the subscription ends and the organization moves to the free plan.

Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may withdraw from a new paid subscription within 14 days of buying it by emailing us; we refund what you paid, less the value of the service provided before you withdrew where the law allows us to deduct it.

We may change prices, allowances and per-call rates. A change to a paid plan's price is announced by email at least 30 days before it applies, and takes effect from your next billing period.

The free plan

The free plan is provided at no charge and without a service commitment. We may discontinue any free-plan organization, including deleting it and everything in it, at our discretion — provided we give the organization's administrators at least 30 days' notice by email and in the application. Paid plans are not affected by this section.

A free-plan organization that nobody has used for six months is treated as dormant. Activity means signing in or making an API request — either one is enough. When an organization becomes dormant we email its administrators and show a notice in the application; 30 days later the organization is deleted. Using the organization at any point during those 30 days cancels the deletion, and so does upgrading it; you can also cancel it yourself from your organization settings.

In both cases the notice tells you the exact date. If you think a notice was issued in error, reply to it and we will look.

Limits and availability

Requests are subject to the rate limits and parallel-request limits described in the documentation, and we pace requests to any one site so that it is not overloaded. We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee it: it may be interrupted for maintenance, by failures, or by the sites being fetched.

Deleting your account

You can delete your own account at any time from Account settings, and your whole organization from Organization settings. Deleting an organization removes its projects, API keys, request history, and stored results. Deleting an organization with a paid plan also cancels its subscription.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. We cannot restore a deleted organization or account, and neither can you — copies in routine backups rotate out within 30 days and are not restorable on request. Export anything you want to keep first: your request history is listed in the application, and stored results remain retrievable through the results endpoint for 30 days after they are generated.

Content

We do not claim ownership of the URLs you submit or the data returned to you. We make no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any output — in particular, AI-generated output (summaries, keywords) is generated heuristically and may be wrong, and metadata is reported as the page declares it, which may itself be wrong.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, URLpipe is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred euros, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights consumers have under mandatory law.

Third-party content

URLpipe fetches content from third-party websites at your request. We are not responsible for that content, and the terms and privacy policies of those sites continue to apply to the data we retrieve on your behalf.

Open-source components

Language detection uses the fastText language identification model (lid.176) by Facebook AI Research, licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any legal action must be brought in the courts located in Spain, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
